Either will give you amazing results. Although most artists would rather produce music in-person, it can all be done remotely. Usually with a video call is ideal. Most of the editing and mixing is typically done on my own.
HipHop. Or Hip-Hop. Hiphop?
Also Pop. I originally started producing EDM, but I'm really liking Indie Pop, Future Bass sound design, DnB drum patterns, and a bunch of other stuff. But I think that is why I love producing in general. I want to incorporate my favorite features from any sort of genre. Usually the output would be considered Pop, HipHop, or EDM. I was an in-house audio engineer and music producer at a recording studio. Most of our artists made HipHop or Rap music.
Usually one to two months. And digital distributors (like Distrokid) typically take two days to two weeks to upload your song onto Spotify, Apple Music, etc. After that you'll see your music on Spotify.
There are some processes that often get overlooked, such as:
Comping the vocals - Recording multiple takes of a verse, then grabbing the best bits of every phrase or word.
Tuning and aligning the vocals - Using Melodyne to tune and properly align vocal stacks in rhthym.
Referencing the mix in different environments
Feedback loops between production and mixing revisions
Re-recording
This entirely depends on how much you're willing to invest. As long as you have a decent microphone to record yourself, I can handle all of the other tasks. We can also find additional talent. Most of the larger, more well-known studios charge $1000 - $2000 per day. Most artists just need a proper microphone and pre-amp. I typically travel between three different studios depending on the budget of my artists.
I would say "Coffee." but I don't drink coffee. My favorite form is sending an email with desired fixes, plus a video message illuminating the desired fixes. And honestly, there are some really small fixes that can be done within minutes. If I'm in my studio, I can easily do those as soon as possible.
I will send you everything that we need to get published on all streaming platforms. Along with contracts, ownership rights, and song splits.
